Abstract

Digitalization has emerged as a defining factor in the ongoing evolution of modern dental practice. As digital tools have gradually become embedded in diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical procedures, both professional workflows and patient experiences have undergone significant change. Dentistry is increasingly supported by systems that improve precision, efficiency and communication. This editorial examines the role of digitalization in contemporary dentistry, focusing on its influence on clinical practice, patient interaction and professional responsibility. Emphasis is placed on the need to integrate technology thoughtfully, ensuring that innovation strengthens clinical judgement rather than replacing it.
